About us
The Neighbourhood Network (NN) is a registered charity with its core work supporting residents and Hull based resident led community groups to take positive steps towards the changes they desire. Support is given in many ways i.e., education and awareness sessions, introducing and facilitating connections, community networking, communicating key messages across the network, offering tailored advice and guidance; all with the aim of creating stronger, supportive, healthier, and more resilient communities.
The charity’s work spans a range of initiatives, including setting up and providing sustained support for grassroot, resident led groups such as Neighbourhood/Business Watches; projects addressing cycle crime, along with supporting victims of crime with target hardening equipment and training. The charity encourages community cohesion through family fundays, volunteer recognition awards, litter-picking events, and recently with management of the Alf Marshall Community Centre. The charity also supports the health and well-being of women feeling isolated during menopause, through its ‘Menopaus’ull Support Network’ project.
